PROFESSIONAL DUES AND PAYROLL DEDUCTIONS. A. Any teacher who is a member of the Association, or has applied for membership may sign and deliver to the District an assignment authorizing deduction of professional dues and assessments uniformly required for membership in the Association. Pursuant to such authorization, the District shall deduct one-ninth (1/9) of such dues from the second regular check of the teacher each month for nine (9) months beginning in September and ending in May. Any teacher who shall not perform services for any entire month of the school year shall have his/her dues reduced by one-ninth (1/9) of the yearly dues for such entire month he/she did not render service, except where failure to perform service for any month was a result of the teacher taking a leave of absence or sick leave provided by this Agreement. Dues and assessments will be set in September of each year.
