Professional Development Plans. Within 30 school days after the summative evaluation of a tenured teacher has been reduced to writing resulting in a rating of “Needs Improvement,” a professional development plan designed to correct the areas identified as needing improvement will be developed by the evaluator, in consultation with the teacher rated as needing improvement. 1. The professional development plan period will customarily be in effect until the teacher’s next evaluation. 2. In the year following a tenured teacher’s rating of “Needs Improvement,” the evaluator shall conduct a final evaluation of the teacher with a rating given prior to seventy-five (75) days before the last day of school. 3. A teacher who fails to complete the professional development plan with an evaluation rating of “Proficient” or better shall be placed on a remediation plan.
