Process for Discipline. The College shall give an employee a written statement of the reason(s) for any suspension without pay, reduction in pay or termination. Prior to a decision of suspension without pay or termination, the College shall inform concurrently the employee and the Association, in writing, of the charges against the employee, any evidence and documentation to support the charge and the action contemplated. The College will provide an opportunity to the employee to respond in writing or in person to the evidence and explain and defend their conduct. The College shall handle discipline of an employee as confidentially and discretely as the situation warrants and is possible under the circumstances.
