PREPARATION/CONFERENCE PERIODS. A. High School Teachers During any year in which Huron High School elects not to follow the block schedule, each High School instructor shall have a minimum of forty-five (45) minutes/day of preparation/conference time. During any year in which Huron High School elects to follow the block schedule, the following procedures will govern the class schedule and teachers’ preparation/conference periods:

PREPARATION/CONFERENCE PERIODS. Each full-time regular classroom teacher in grades TK-12 shall be afforded a preparation and conference period, except when there are school assemblies, emergency drills, emergencies or proctoring state or federally mandated assessments. Preparation and conference periods shall be used for professional job related work which will include preparation for classes, preparation of teaching materials, presentation of or attendance at demonstration lessons, faculty meetings, and conferences with administrators, other employees, counselors, students or parents. A preparation period shall be a regular period in length at the high school and middle school level. A preparation period at the elementary level shall not exceed forty (40) minutes in length and shall vary to allow primary and intermediate teachers to leave at the same time.

Pupil-Free Days On days when unit members are scheduled to work but pupils are not scheduled to be present, the minimum duty hours shall be not less than set forth in Section 9.3 of this Article.

  • Preparation Periods 31-1 The School District agrees to maintain daily preparation periods during the student day in all junior and senior high schools. At schools where block scheduling is in effect, the total preparation time provided shall be equal to the preparation time provided at schools not operating on a block schedule.

  • Evaluation Conference The final evaluation conference shall occur not later than the end of the fall term. The purpose of the final evaluation conference is to discuss with the probationary employee the results of the evaluation and announce the team’s recommendation. The evaluation team shall determine what additional evaluation activity shall occur during the spring term. If the team recommends that the District not employ the professor for the following year, no evaluation activities in the spring are necessary.

  • Annual Conference Vote This Disaffiliation Agreement must be “ratified by a simple majority of the members . . . present and voting” at a duly-called session of The Western North Carolina Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church, as required by Judicial Council Decision 1379 and ¶ 2529.1b(3)

  • Preparation Period During the preparation period, a teacher will have no other assignment except in an emergency situation. It is recognized that the preparation period is a scheduled part of the teacher's work day and the teacher is expected to be in his/her respective Building. If the teacher must leave the Building during his/her preparation and/or lunch period, he/she must notify the Building switchboard operator.

  • Preconstruction Conference Prior to, or concurrent with, the issuance of the Notice to Proceed with Construction, a conference will be convened for attendance by the Owner, Contractor, A/E and appropriate Subcontractors. The purpose of the conference is to establish a working understanding among the parties as to the Work, the operational conditions at the Project Site, and general administration of the Project. Topics include communications, schedules, procedures for handling Shop Drawings and other submittals, processing Applications for Payment, maintaining required records and all other matters of importance to the administration of the Project and effective communications between the project team members.

  • JOINT CONFERENCE BOARD (a) A Joint Conference Board shall be formed which will be composed of the Board of Directors of the Boilermaker Contractors' Association of British Columbia, and Members of Local Lodge 359 as appointed by the Business Manager. The Joint Conference Board shall meet at least once during each calendar year or more periodically upon request.

  • Observation Conference 1. All formal observations shall be preceded by a conference between the evaluator and the teacher in order for the teacher to explain plans and objectives for the work situation to be observed.

  • Petition for Annual Conference Session The Local Church acknowledges that pursuant to the governing standing rules of the Annual Conference, petitions for consideration of the legislative body must be submitted to the Secretary of the Annual Conference on or before April 1 of the current Annual Conference year. The Annual Conference will make reasonable efforts to assist the Local Church in completing the required petition, which will include this Disaffiliation Agreement as an attachment thereto making it subject to public review. If the petition is not filed in a timely manner, the Parties will make good faith efforts under the standing rules of the Annual Conference to cooperate to bring the petition to the legislative floor for consideration by appropriate motions to suspend the standing rules for the purposes of considering the petition.

  • PRE-BID CONFERENCE A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Monday, May 23, 2022, @ 2:00 PM, located at W220 Pre-con Conference Room, 0000 Xxxxxxxxxxxxx Xxxxx (Xxxx Xxxxxxxxx) Xxxxxxx, XX 00000. Attendance is not mandatory but is encouraged.

  • Post-Observation Conference 1. The post-observation conference between the evaluator and teacher will be held no later than five (5) days after the formal observation.
