Porch elements. Repair or in-kind replacement of existing porch elements, such as columns, flooring, floor joists, ceilings, railing balusters, balustrades and lattice, provided that the removal method is consistent with the provisions of Preservation Brief #45: Preserving Historic Wooden Porches (U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service).

Roofing: Repair or in-kind replacement of roof cladding and sheeting, flashing, gutters, soffits, cupolas, parapets, skylights, and downspouts with no change in roof pitch or configuration, consistent with the provisions of National Park Service Preservation Briefs #4, 19, and 29. Installation of continuous ridge vents covered with ridge shingles or boards, or roof jacks/vents, bath and kitchen fan vents, xxxxx vents, soffit and frieze board vents, and combustion appliance flues, if not located on a primary roof elevation or visible from the public right-of-way. Installation of new roofing or reflective roof coatings on a flat-roofed building with a parapet, such that the roofing material is not visible from any public right-of-way. Awnings: Repair or in-kind replacement of awnings. Mechanical systems: Installation or replacement of exterior mechanical/HVAC units and vents not on the front elevation. Basement bulkhead doors: Replacement or repair of basement bulkhead doors and installation of basement bulkhead doors not on the front elevation. Lighting: Repair or in-kind replacement of existing light fixtures and installation of additional decorative or security lights. Accessibility ramps: Repair or replacement of existing accessibility/wheelchair ramps. Installation of a new wheelchair ramp on the side or rear entrance of a home, when not visible from any public right-of-way, provided that porches or railings are not irreversible impacted. Mothballing: Securing or mothballing a property by boarding over window and door openings, making temporary roof repairs, and/or ventilating the building, consistent with National Park Service Preservation Brief #31: Mothballing Historic Buildings.

  • Irrigation The City shall provide water to the Premises for the purpose of irrigating the facility. The City specifically reserves the right to restrict water usage under this Agreement if water restrictions are placed on other water users within the City. Prior to the start of the season, City will provide charge up and run through the automatic irrigation systems to check for proper operation. City will provide Lessee with a radio for remote operation of the irrigation system, which Lessee shall use for the day to day maintenance, repair, and monitoring of the irrigation system. If the radio is lost, stolen, broken, or is rendered unusable, Lessee shall pay $1500 for the replacement radio. City is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the following irrigation elements, to the extent applicable: curb stops, backflow prevention devices, backflow enclosures, main line pipings, electric control valves, and controllers. Lessee shall notify Parks Division Water managers by email if any of these irrigation elements are malfunctioning or broken.
