Placement in a New Position. Should the successful candidate be chosen from the existing staff, the candidate shall normally be placed in the new position within sixty (60) days of her or his successful appointment or effective date, whichever is later, regardless of her or his current position. In the event that the successful candidate is not able to be placed in the new position within this sixty (60) day period due to operational requirements, the Nurse shall receive the higher rate of pay, if any, for the new position, commencing on the forty-sixth (46th) day.

Placement in a New Position. Should the successful candidate be chosen from the existing staff, the candidate shall normally be placed in the new position within thirty (30) calendar days of the Nurse’s acceptance, or other date mutually agreed, regardless of the Nurse’s current position. To facilitate the placement in the new position the Employer will: Offer shifts via the WASCL Schedule PRNs if applicable Schedule seasonal or internal travel nurses if applicable Offer OT Utilize external travel nurses and agencies, if applicable. In the event that the successful candidate is not able to be placed in the new position within this thirty (30) calendar day period due to operational requirements, the matter shall be referred to the Executive Director or designate for resolution. Additionally, the Nurse shall receive the higher rate of pay, if any, for the new position, commencing on the thirty-first (31st) calendar day. In the event that the new role is an increase in FTE status, the Nurse will be scheduled to the increased FTE in either their new or existing work area until the Nurse is placed in the new position.

A member’s deferred salary shall be equal to that percentage of said member’s total annual salary or salary per pay period which is required from time to time by the State Employment Retirement System (“SERS”) to be paid as an employee contribution by said member and shall be paid by the Board to SERS on behalf of said member as a “pickup” of the SERS employee contribution otherwise payable by said member. A member’s cash salary shall be equal to said member’s total annual salary or salary per pay period less the amount, subject to applicable payroll deductions, to said member. The Board’s total combined expenditures for members’ total annual salaries otherwise payable under this Agreement, as amended, (including pickup amounts) and its employer contributions to SERS shall not be greater than the amounts it would have paid for those items had this provision not been in effect.

  • Promotion Increases (a) Promotion salary increases shall be granted in an amount equal to 9.0% of the employee’s previous year’s base salary rate in recognition of promotion to one of the ranks described below:
