Common use of Personal Business Leave Days Clause in Contracts

Personal Business Leave Days. A maximum of three (3) days in any one fiscal year may be taken for personal business without loss of pay. Personal business leave days are provided for legitimate business and/or family obligations which can only be met during the regularly scheduled work day. Personal business leave days shall be granted upon notification to the immediate supervisor, provided that the employee has made a good faith effort to notify the supervisor as soon as the obligation is known. New employees, upon completion of probation may use only one-and-one-half (1-1/2) personal business leave days in that fiscal year of employment. Effective July 1st of the next fiscal year, the employee shall be credited with three (3) personal business leave days. Part-time employees, see Appendix C, Definition of Terms.
