Pay for Unused Sick Leave. A. For employees who do not work 24 hour work day, unused, accumulated sick leave shall be paid to employees who resign or retire with 10 years or more of continuous service, to a maximum of 90 days at the rate of $1 per day times the years of continuous service for employees retiring, and at the rate of 50¢ per day times the years of continuous service for persons resigning.

For employees who do not work 24 hour work day, unused, Unused accumulated sick leave shall will be paid to employees who resign or retire with 10 years ten (10) or more years of continuous service, to service based on a maximum of 90 days at the rate schedule of $1 per day times the number of years of continuous service for the first 90 days of sick leave; $2 per day times the years of continuous service for employees retiring, days 91 through 180; and at the rate of 50¢ $4 per day times the years of continuous service for persons resigning180 days and over. Employees who resign will be paid for unused sick leave based on the same schedule, but at half the rate.
