Paid Holidays (Applicable to Full Time Only. 7.1 Holiday pay will be computed on the basis of the employee's regular straight time hourly rate of pay times the number of hours for a normal work day of seven and one half hours (7 ½) per day or eight (8) hours per day depending on the employee’s classification.

  • Paid Holidays – Long Weekends (a) When an employee is scheduled to work a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to also schedule the employee to work the paid holiday.

  • Leave of Absence for Full-Time Union or Public Duties An employee who is elected or selected for a full-time position with the Union or anybody with which the Union is affiliated, or who is elected to public office, shall be granted leave of absence without pay and without loss of seniority.

  • Premium Holidays If the employer receives a premium holiday(s), the employees shall not be required to pay their portion of the premium(s) for the holiday month(s).
