Notwithstanding A Sample Clauses
The "Notwithstanding A" clause serves to establish that the provisions it introduces will take precedence over any conflicting terms found in section A of the agreement. In practice, this means that even if section A contains language that would otherwise apply, the terms set out in the "Notwithstanding A" clause will override those provisions in cases of inconsistency. This clause is commonly used to carve out exceptions or clarify that certain obligations or rights are to be applied despite what is stated elsewhere, thereby ensuring that the parties' intentions are clear and that specific terms are not unintentionally negated by broader language in section A.
Notwithstanding A. 5.1., the Employer shall not be required to discharge any Employee to whom membership in OSSTF has been denied or terminated.
Notwithstanding A. 9.3.3, no payment toward the employee negotiating team will be made by the Board, when third party assistance is entered into.
