Common use of Notice of Discharge Clause in Contracts

Notice of Discharge. Discharged employees shall be given a notice of discharge in writing, and the reasons for discharge given in the notice shall be those relied on in any arbitration arising from the discharge. A union representative shall be present when suspension or dismissal takes place in the circumstances where it is possible to do so and the employee is actively at work.
