Common use of Long-term Travel Clause in Contracts

Long-term Travel. Actual expenses for long term meals and receipted lodging will be reimbursed when the employee incurs expenses in one location comparable to those arising from the use of establishments catering to the long- term visitor. The supervisor must determine prior to the beginning of the assignment if the time away from the home or headquarters area will be more than 30 days, but less than one year. Long-Term-Assignments (LRA) lasting longer than 1 year may require the long-term reimbursements to be reported as a fringe benefit.
