LIBRARY PERIODS. The School Library shall be available for use by individual students and by class groups throughout the school day. Every attempt shall be made to provide flexible scheduling, so that individual teachers shall be enabled to bring their classes to the library at times best suited for the purposes of classroom instruction.

LIBRARY PERIODS. Teachers assigned to grades K-5, self-contained classrooms, shall have one (1) thirty (30) minute library period per week. This provision shall apply to kindergarten as long as full day kindergarten is funded by the State. If full day kindergarten is not funded by the State, library periods shall be available to grades 1-5 only. During the first and last weeks of school the employer shall provide teachers with release time equal to their library time loss from their instructional schedules.

  • Meal Periods (a) Meal periods shall be scheduled as closely as possible to the middle of the workday. The length of the meal period shall be not less than thirty (30) minutes and not more than sixty (60) minutes.

  • Preparation Periods 31-1 The School District agrees to maintain daily preparation periods during the student day in all junior and senior high schools.   • Probationary Periods Employees transferring to a different title will serve a six (6) calendar month probationary period. In the event the probationary period is not satisfactorily completed, the affected employee shall be returned to Job Bank assignment and the employee’s “bumping”, layoff or transfer rights under the Agreement or other applicable authority shall be restored to the same extent such rights existed prior to the employee taking the probationary position. Upon the affected employee’s first such return to the Job Bank, the employee shall be entitled to remain in the Job Bank for the greater of ten (10) business days, or the duration of the applicable Job Bank period, as determined under Article I, paragraph 2, that remained as of the date the employee began in the probationary position. The rate of compensation for the remainder of the employee’s time in the Job Bank will be the same as the rate in effect as of the employee’s last day in the probationary position. Return to the Job Bank terminates the employee’s work in the probationary assignment and, therefore, time served following the return to the Job Bank shall not be construed to count toward the completion of the probationary period.

  • Planning Periods Teachers in secondary schools shall receive not less than 225 minutes of unassigned planning time on a weekly basis and shall be scheduled for one unassigned planning period per day of not less than forty-five (45) consecutive minutes. Neither this provision, nor 8.8 below will apply during times when the normal school schedule must be adjusted during emergencies; or in cases when an individual teacher has requested in writing to teach more than the usual number of periods for teachers in that subject in that school, or in the case of a teacher who volunteers for other school activities during the scheduled unassigned planning period.

  • Break Periods The parties agree that the paid rest period contemplated by Article 16(e) shall be taken during times that will not interfere with the operation of the Strong Start Centre.

  • Renewal Periods Renewal of registered names may be made in one (1) year increments for up to a maximum of ten (10) years. For the avoidance of doubt, renewal of registered names may not extend their registration period beyond ten (10) years from the time of the renewal.

  • Grace Periods The related Mortgage or Mortgage Note provides a grace period for Monthly Payments no longer than ten (10) days from the applicable Due Date.

  • Meal and Break Periods The unpaid meal period shall be thirty (30) minutes. If a represented employee does not receive this thirty (30) minute meal period, he/she may be relieved at the end of eight (8) hours. If the employee’s work day is not shortened (ie: if he/she works eight and one-half (8½) hours), he/she shall be compensated under the CBA for one-half (½) hour at time-and-a half (ie: paid for 45 minutes). Two 10 (ten) minute breaks shall continue to be provided for each full-time shift.
