Leave for Family Illness. (a) In the case of illness of any Employee’s husband, wife, son, daughter, father or mother, who permanently reside with the Employee and when no one other than the Employee can provide for the needs of the ill person, the Employee may be granted, after notifying his immediate supervisor, leave with pay up to five (5) days per annum, which leave shall be deducted from the Employee’s sick leave entitlement as provided under Article 22.2.
