Layoff Notice Requirements a. The Board shall give as much notice as operationally possible to teachers it intends to lay-off, but in no event shall layoff notice be less than thirty (30) teaching days. Should the Board not provide this minimum notice, it shall pay the affected teacher for that portion of notice not given. This notice shall contain the reason for the layoff and a list of the positions filled by teachers with less seniority who are to be retained. The Board shall forward copies of all such notices to the Association.
