LAYOFF AND RECALL FROM LAYOFF. 13.01 In the event of a work shortage, for the purposes of layoffs and for the purposes of recalling those to work who have been laid off, seniority will be applied on a bargaining unit wide basis and the following factors shall be considered, seniority, qualifications, skill and ability to perform the normal required work. It is agreed that where qualifications, skill and ability to perform the normal required work are relatively equal, seniority as herein defined will govern. It is understood that some employees may require some orientation to perform the work in question. In all circumstances, employees will receive the job rate of the job classification they have successfully bumped into.
