Hours - Shift Employees Definition. When by reason of the need for attended operation of a compressor station or a meter station, one or more eight, ten or twelve hour watches must be maintained therein, an employee who is assigned to duty on any of such watches shall, for the duration of such assignment, be known as a shift employee.
