Common use of Hospitalized or Bedridden During Vacation Clause in Contracts

Hospitalized or Bedridden During Vacation. In the event that an employee is hospitalized, or bedridden for three (3) or more days during a vacation, sick leave may be substituted for vacation leave. The employee must provide a medical certificate attesting to the fact that the hospitalization or bed rest was necessary and indicating the time period involved. In the event that the employee is involved in an accident as a result of working an outside paid job the employee will not be entitled to substitute sick leave for vacation leave.
