Common use of Holidays Falling on Weekends Clause in Contracts

Holidays Falling on Weekends. ‌ When a holiday falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be observed as the Holiday. When a holiday falls on a Sunday, the following Monday shall be observed as the holiday. For employees regularly scheduled Saturday and/or Sunday, holidays shall be observed on the actual holidays. If an employee is scheduled to work on both an observed holiday and the actual holiday, they will be compensated as described in Section 6.2 of this Article.
