From A Permanent Position. An employee who is promoted or re-evaluated to a higher payband shall be paid the rate for the new payband which provides an increase of not less than the next wage rate step increase which would have been available to the employee in his/her former payband. Where the employee was receiving the maximum rate, the increase shall not be less than the difference between the maximum rate and the preceding rate step in the former payband. The new wage rate shall not exceed the maximum rate of the new payband.
