Family and Medical. Leave Related to the Active Duty Service Exigency of a Family Member. An eligible nurse is entitled to up to twelve (12) weeks of unpaid leave during any twelve (12) month period because of any qualifying exigency as defined by the Department of Labor arising out of the fact that the spouse, son, daughter or parent of the nurse is on active duty in the Armed Forces in support of a contingency operation.
