Exposure Quarantine. A bargaining unit member (hereinafter “member”) who the Employer does not permit to work due to exposure to COVID-19 disease shall be placed in paid leave status during any required quarantine period. Paid leave status may be a combination of Workers Compensation and employer paid administration leave. The combination of which will ensure the employee will experience no loss of pay or accrued time off until such time as the Employer permits the employee to return to work.

Exposure Quarantine. A bargaining unit member (hereinafter “member”) who the Employer does not permit to work due to exposure to COVID-19 disease shall be placed in paid leave status during any required quarantine period. Paid leave status may be a combination of Workers Compensation and employer paid administration leave. If the RN is ineligible for Worker’s Compensation, RN would have immediate access to EIB to cover leave. If a RN’s EIB is insufficient to cover necessary leave, the Employer will cover the remainder of the leave. The combination of which will ensure the employee will experience no loss of pay or accrued time off until such time as the Employer permits the employee to return to work. Staff will be allowed to donate their excess EIB to a bank for distributing to RN’s in need, for covering extended leaves due to COVID-19 exposure quarantine. Allocations from this bank will be administered by the Employer.

  • Quarantine A Teacher shall be granted a leave of absence with pay as a result of being quarantined or otherwise prevented by order of the Medical Officer of Health from attending upon his/her duties.

  • Environmental Tobacco Smoke Public Law 103-227 (also known as the Pro-Children Act of 1994) and Vermont’s Act 135 (2014) (An act relating to smoking in lodging establishments, hospitals, and child care facilities, and on State lands) restrict the use of tobacco products in certain settings. Party will refrain from promoting the use of tobacco products for all clients and from making tobacco products available to minors. Failure to comply with the provisions of the federal law may result in the imposition of a civil monetary penalty of up to $1,000 for each violation and/or the imposition of an administrative compliance order on the responsible entity. The federal Pro-Children Act of 1994, however, does not apply to portions of facilities used for inpatient drug or alcohol treatment; service providers whose sole source of applicable federal funds is Medicare or Medicaid; or facilities where Women, Infants, & Children (WIC) coupons are redeemed.

  • Quarantine Leave Quarantine leave without loss of pay and not chargeable to sick leave shall be granted to a Teacher for a period of quarantine when declared by the Medical Officer of Health or designate.

  • Dangerous Goods, Special Wastes, Pesticides and Harmful Substances Where employees are required to work with or are exposed to any dangerous good, special waste, pesticide or harmful substance, the Employer shall ensure that the employees are adequately trained in the identification, safe handling, use, storage, and/or disposal of same.

"Hazardous substance(s)" are those substances, materials, or wastes regulated by state or federal law. PURCHASER shall immediately cease operating in any particular area of the operations where a hazardous substance(s) has been discovered or encountered, if continued operations in such area would present a bona fide risk or danger to the health or well being of PURCHASER's or any subcontractor's work force. Upon being notified by PURCHASER of the presence of hazardous substance(s) on the areas of operations, STATE shall arrange for the proper disposition of such hazardous substance(s).

The influenza vaccine will be offered to all health care workers, including pregnant women, before the influenza season, unless otherwise medically contraindicated or it compromises sincerely held religious beliefs.
