Equal Pays. For the 2019-2020 school year, Teachers will be paid in twenty-six (26) equal gross pay checks. Teachers may elect to receive their final checks on a June schedule or a summer schedule. For informational purposes, the School Corporation expects to update its systems in human resources and payroll, which would allow for a smoother transition from 26 pays in a year to 24. Therefore, starting with the 2020-2021 school year, Teachers will be paid in twenty-four (24) equal gross pay checks as follows: • The first payday for all teachers on a regular contract (regardless of the timing of pay for the prior contract year) will be September 5. • Paydays will be the 5th and 20th of each month. • If a payday falls on a weekend or holiday, Teachers will be paid on the business day immediately before the weekend or holiday. • Teachers may elect to receive their final checks on a June schedule or a summer schedule.
