EMPLOYEE’S OPTION. At the time of separation, the employee shall have the option of receiving the severance allowance upon termination or electing to have it held in abeyance for up to one (1) year from the date of termination. He/she may apply in writing at any time during the year, at which time the full severance allowance will be paid forthwith.
