Eligibility for Supported Employment. The VR Counselor shall determine whether an individual, who has been determined eligible for VR services and determined to have a Most Significant disability, requires Supported Employment to achieve an employment outcome through an assessment of vocational rehabilitation needs and prior to the writing of the Individualized Plan for Employment. Note: Eligibility determination made by VR does not impact an ECF CHOICES member’s eligibility for Supported Employment services under TennCare. All ECF CHOICES members are eligible for all of the Supported Employment services available to their ECF benefit group.

Eligibility for Supported Employment. DORS will determine whether an individual is eligible for supported employment consistent with the definition authorized under title VI of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (29 X.X.X 000 et seq.), as amended by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) (29 USC 3101), and COMAR 13A.11.01.03B(30) and the criteria in DORS Rehabilitation Services Manual 2, section 900.:

  • Eligibility for Sick Leave Subject to the provisions herein, employees and officers (hereinafter called "employees") who are absent from their duties because of illness or disability are eligible for sick leave.

Behavioral Support: Specialized interventions by professionals with required credentials to assist an individual to increase adaptive behaviors and to replace or modify maladaptive behavior that prevent or interfere with the individual’s inclusion in home and family life or community life. Support includes: ▪ assessing and analyzing assessment findings so that an appropriate behavior support plan may be designed; ▪ developing an individualized behavior support plan consistent with the outcomes identified in the individual’s plan of services and supports; ▪ training and consulting with family members or other providers and, as appropriate, the individual; ▪ and monitoring and evaluating the success of the behavioral support plan and modifying the plan as necessary.
