Death in the Line of Duty Benefits. Funeral and burial expenses, education benefits, and the State Employees Group Health Self-Insurance Plan premium for the employee's surviving spouse and children will be provided in accordance with applicable Florida Statutes. The surviving spouse and family shall be directly assisted by the University Police Department and the office of Human Resources in obtaining all applicable survivor's benefits.
