Common use of Consecutive Days of Work Clause in Contracts

Consecutive Days of Work. No employee shall be required to work more than seven (7) consecutive days during a two (2) week period without the payment of overtime at one and one-­‐half (1.5) times the employee’s straight-­‐time hourly rate of pay for any days in excess of seven (7) required consecutive days. Such rate of pay shall continue until the employee’s next day off.

Such rate of pay shall continue until the employee’s next day offregularly scheduled work day. An employee who volunteers to work extra shifts that cause him or her to work more than six (6) consecutive days will not be considered to have been “required” to work more than six (6) consecutive days.
