Shared Values. The Department and the HFA are both committed to developing and maintaining a relationship that is open, transparent, effective and responsive to the needs of the Irish economy in a way that provides sustainable housing development. These partners have distinct but complementary responsibilities in meeting local needs and the delivery of local services. Public and statutory sectors have legal responsibilities and democratic accountabilities that include local residents, service users, patients, businesses and other stakeholders. Public, statutory and VCS organisations are also accountable in different ways.

Shared Values. To ensure the KCLDG is successful, the Partners have agreed to uphold a shared set of values which underpin the way they collaborate. Accordingly, the members/partners agree to: Uphold a mutual respect for different organisational cultures; allowing time to appreciate the value that each Partner will contribute to the work of the whole. Understand and appreciate the voluntary commitment of members. Share and develop good practice. Promote an inclusive and community based approach. Co-operate and be transparent in sharing skills and knowledge for the benefit of all Partners. Accept the need to give sufficient time to build trusting partnerships. Be democratic and fair; ensuring all partners are regarded as equals. Stakeholders and other key partners There are many stakeholders, agencies and organisations in contact with each Partner. These relationships will continue unaffected. However, it is hoped that the Agreement will help to facilitate new relationships with a greater number of potential collaborators and supporters such as funders, local media, researchers or policy makers. Where the unique and individual knowledge or capacity of any one Partner can assist the KCLDG as a whole; this will be conveyed and utilised for the good of all Partners. Managing Partnership Working A jointly devised annual Action Plan will identify individual and joint projects, timescales and outcomes. This will form the tangible basis of the KCLDG. Progress will be monitored and reviewed bi-annually at meetings. Assessing our Performance through the Joint Action Plan Tracking the progress and reporting the outcomes of the work of the KCLDG will be taken forward through a Joint Action Plan. All Partners will discuss and agree any actions or required changes to the process of joint working.

By bringing their unique expertise and insights to the table the VCSE can help shape services and approaches that tackle the root causes of health inequalities and work alongside partners in health and care and communities to change behaviours and attitudes and deliver cost effective solutions to improving population health. Our Vision for the VCSE in West Yorkshire Our vision is a vibrant, sustainable, and resilient Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sector across West Yorkshire which is fully integrated into local place systems. The VCSE is an equal stakeholder and partner, influencing decisions, delivering solutions and innovation for the benefit of the population and offers critical insight when planning and shaping strategy and services system wide.
