Cash Out for Exceptional Circumstances. In exceptional circumstances, such as cases of extreme emergency, compensation in lieu of unused vacation leave, not to exceed the equivalent of eighty (80) hours, may be paid to an employee upon approval of the Board of Supervisors, provided that the employee consents and the department head submits a request to said Board prior to the date that the employee's accrued vacation leave reaches the maximum allowed. The amount of compensation paid to an employee shall be calculated at the employee's current rate of pay.

  • Exceptional Circumstances The Recipient agrees that the Federal Government may require another method of valuation to be used to determine the fair market value of Project real property withdrawn from service. In unusual circumstances, the Recipient may request permission to use another reasonable valuation method including, but not limited to accelerated depreciation, comparable sales, or established market values.

  • Special Circumstances An employee shall be entitled to extend the maternity leave by up to an additional six (6) consecutive weeks' leave without pay where a physician certifies the employee as unable to return to work for medical reasons related to the birth. The LEA may terminate this DPA and any service agreement or contract with the Provider if the Provider breaches any terms of this DPA.
