Career Services. The Transfer/career Center is located on the second floor of the San Xxxx Obispo Campus Library buliding. The phone number is (000) 000-0000 Transfer Services The Transfer/Career Center has a wide variety of resources available to university bound students including college and university catalogs and information, college search materials, major and career books, and study abroad brocures and catalogs. The Center maintains inforamtion about university transfer requirements, the university application process, and articulation and transfer admission agreements. In addition, the Center provides internet access with links to assist students completing online admissions applications and researching colleges. Transfer counselors are available to help students identify their educational goals, research colleges and programs, determine university admission requirements, evaluate transcripts and develop student educational plans (SEP’s). Appointments to meet with a counselor can be made one week in advance beginning the first working day of the week and are available from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Transfer/Career Center staff serve as liaisons to colleges and universities and advocate for students in the admission process. Center staff also coordinate university representative visits in which university outreach staff come to campus to meet with Cuesta students individually. Transfer admission Agreements (TAA’s) are commitments that selected colleges and universities make to Cuesta students who meet specific unit, GPA and course requirements. A TAA serves as a contract between the student and college or university. Students who have completed a TAA with a counselor and have met contractual requirements are guarenteed admission.
