Calendar Parameters. Beginning with the 2018-2019 school year, the certificated/licensed staff opening day will take place no earlier than the third Friday in August. The last day of school before the Winter break will be no later than December 21 and the first day of school after the break will be no earlier than January 3. The end of the first semester will occur at the beginning of Winter Break. • The Spring break shall be five (5) school days in length. • The Friday preceding Easter, school will not be scheduled.
