CAC Level. The CAC shall make a separate investigation and determination of appeals of departmental decisions. The CAC may refer the faculty member's appeal to the faculty member's department for further consideration. The CAC may request additional supporting materials for clarification of the previous bodies’ decisions, the application, or the appeal. The CAC may support an appeal only for reasons based on the evidence relative to the achievement of the criteria specified in Section 5.5.5 and 5.5.6
