Common use of Benefits Upon Death of Active Employee Clause in Contracts

Benefits Upon Death of Active Employee. If an employee dies while employed by the District, the District shall pay the employee's estate an amount equal to the employee's earned vacation. In addition the District will, for two (2) years from the date of the employee's death, provide the same contribution for medical insurance coverage for the eligible members of the deceased employee's family as is provided for eligible members of the families of current employees. If the District's insurance carrier excludes any member or members of the family from coverage, the District shall not be obligated to provide the benefit for the excluded member or members.
