Common use of Authorized Subcontractors Clause in Contracts

Authorized Subcontractors. Notwithstanding Section 23 (Assignability) above, Contractor may use designated subcontractors approved in advance by City in performing Contractor's services. Contractor must obtain City's prior written consent in order to change or add subcontractors. Contractor shall be responsible for directing the work of the approved subcontractors and for any compensation due to subcontractors. City assumes no responsibility whatsoever concerning such compensation.

City assumes no responsibility whatsoever concerning such compensation. City’s approval under this Section 24.1 is not required for relatively minor subcontractors who will not be entering the City’s premises and whose subcontracts from Contractor are priced at less than ten percent of this Agreement’s price.
