Advancement Through Salary Steps. 275. a. Except as specifically provided in Section III.B., permanent employees shall advance to each successive step upon completion of one (1) year of required service. 276. b. Provisional employees shall be advanced to the step he/she would have achieved had he/she been permanent from the first day of employment in the class. Thereafter, the employee’s anniversary date shall be from the first day in the class regardless of status.
