Absence and Sickness. 8.1. Any unauthorized absence requires you to notify the CEO (or his designated deputy) by 10.00 a.m. on the first day of any such unauthorized absence. If you are still off work on the third day you must contact the CEO to report on your progress. You must keep the CEO regularly informed of your absence and of the expected duration of your absence. Failure to notify the Company of your absence may render you subject to disciplinary action and may also bar you from receiving sick pay.

Absence and Sickness. 8.2.1 The Student must notify his/her tutor immediately on the first day of each absence from the Courses or as soon after it is practicable and give the reason for and expected duration of their absence. Repeated absence from the Course may result in the termination of the training contract.

  • Sickness In the event that an employee requires hospitalization or is seriously ill during his/her annual vacation period, the employee shall, upon request and upon presentation of a physician's statement, apply the period of illness or hospitalization to sick leave rather than vacation, provided the sick bank is not used.   • Insurance and Risk of Loss All risk of loss, damage to or destruction of the Collateral shall at all times be on Debtor. Debtor will procure forthwith and maintain at Debtor's expense insurance against all risks of loss or physical damage to the Collateral for the full insurable value thereof for the life of this Security Agreement, and shall promptly deliver to Secured Party a Certificate of Insurance reflecting the aforesaid and showing loss payable to Secured Party; and providing Secured Party with not less than 30 days written notice of cancellation; each such policy shall be with insurance carriers satisfactory to Secured Party; Secured Party's acceptance of policies in lesser amounts or risks shall not be a waiver of Debtor's foregoing obligations. As to Secured Party's interest in such policy, no act or omission of Debtor or any of its officers, agents, employees or representatives shall affect the obligations of the insurer to pay the full amount of any loss. Debtor hereby assigns to Secured Party any monies which may become payable under any such policy of insurance and if an event of default has occurred and is continuing hereunder, then Debtor irrevocably constitutes and appoints Secured Party as Debtor's attorney in fact (a) to make, settle and adjust claims under each policy of insurance, (b) to make claims for any monies which may become payable under such and other insurance on the Collateral including returned or unearned premiums, and (c) to endorse Debtor's name on any check, draft or other instrument received in payment of claims or returned or unearned premiums under each policy and to apply the funds to the payment of the indebtedness owing to Secured Party; provided, however, Secured Party is under no obligation to do any of the foregoing; and provided further however, if an event of default has not occurred and is not continuing hereunder, then Debtor is permitted to handle all insurance claims. Debtor shall provide to Secured Party a true copy of each insurance policy. Should Debtor fail to maintain such policy in full force and provide evidence thereof to Secured Party, or to pay any premium in whole or in part relating thereto, then Secured Party, without waiving or releasing any default or obligation by Debtor, may (but shall be under no obligation to) obtain and maintain insurance and pay the premium therefor on behalf of Debtor and charge the premium to Debtor's indebtedness under this Security Agreement. The full amount of any such premium paid by Secured Party shall be payable by Debtor upon demand, and failure to pay same shall constitute an event of default under this Security Agreement.

  • Vacation, Holidays and Sick Leave During the Term, the Executive shall be entitled to paid vacation, paid holidays and sick leave in accordance with the Company's standard policies for its senior executive officers.

  • Life and Disability Insurance The Company will provide term life and disability insurance payable to the Employee, in each case in an amount up to a maximum of one times the Employee’s base salary in effect from time to time, provided however, that such amount will be reduced by the amount of any life insurance or death or disability benefit coverage, as applicable, that is provided to the Employee under any other benefit plans or arrangements of the Company. Such policies will be in accordance with the Company’s standard policies from time to time with respect to such insurance and the rules established for individual participation in such plans and under applicable law.

  • FUNERAL LEAVE Section 30.1 In the event of the death of a parent, spouse, child, sister, brother, mother-in- law, father-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandparent of the Employee or spouse, grandchild of the Employee, or “xxxxxx” or “step” situations within these relationships, the Employee shall be allowed a leave of absence with pay of two (2) consecutive (eight or ten hour) workdays.

  • Long-Term Disability Insurance 250. The City, at its own cost, shall provide to employees a Long Term Disability (LTD) benefit that provides, after a one hundred and eighty (180) day elimination period, sixty percent salary (60%) (subject to integration) up to age sixty-five (65). Employees who are receiving or who are eligible to receive LTD shall be eligible to participate in the City's Catastrophic Illness Program as set forth in the ordinance governing such program.
