VHIE definition

VHIE means the Vermont Health Information Exchange, an integrated electronic health information infrastructure for the sharing of PHI and Data among Participating Health Care Organizations and the State’s health care provider staff.

VHIE means Vermont Health Information Exchange. “VHIE ID” means unique patient identifier assigned by VHIE.

• Additional supports funded and provided by the State and available to the practices include QI facilitation for assistance with NCQA-PCMH scoring activities and continuous quality improvement, data quality initiative project leaders, and Vermont Information Technology Leaders (VITL) staff for establishing practice electronic health record (EHR) interface connectivity to the Vermont Health Information Exchange (VHIE) and associated data repositories designated by the State.

• An individual may request and receive an Audit Report of access to his or her PHI on the VHIE by contacting VITL’s Privacy Officer.

• Compared with Europe farm sizes are tiny – they can be much less than a hectare with householders owing 1-3 cattle and a few sheep, or a pig and a few chickens.
