Supplemental Surviving Spouse Benefit definition

Supplemental Surviving Spouse Benefit means the benefit payable to a Surviving Spouse pursuant to Section 3.3 of the Plan.
Supplemental Surviving Spouse Benefit means the benefit payable to a Surviving Spouse pursuant to this Plan.
Supplemental Surviving Spouse Benefit means the survivor death benefit payable to a Participant’s surviving spouse, pursuant to the provisions of Sections 8.1 through 8.3.

Examples of Supplemental Surviving Spouse Benefit in a sentence

  • No amendment or termination of this Plan shall directly or indirectly deprive any current or former Participant, Beneficiary or Surviving Spouse of all or any portion of any Supplemental Retirement Benefit or Supplemental Surviving Spouse Benefit payment which has commenced prior to the effective date of such amendment or termination or the right to which has accrued on such effective date.

  • The Surviving Spouse of a Participant described in the preceding sentence who dies prior to commencement of payment of his Pension Plan Retirement Benefit shall be eligible to receive a Supplemental Surviving Spouse Benefit.

  • If a Participant dies prior to commencement of payment of his Pension Plan Retirement Benefit under circumstances in which a Pension Plan Surviving Spouse Benefit is payable to his Surviving Spouse, then a Supplemental Surviving Spouse Benefit shall be payable to his Surviving Spouse as hereinafter provided.

  • The Supplemental Surviving Spouse Benefit shall be paid in a lump sum that is the actuarial equivalent of the amount that would have been payable to the Participant under Section 3.1 or 3.2 at the date of death.

  • The Surviving Spouse of a Participant described in the preceding sentence who dies prior to commencement of payment of his Reinstatement Plan Retirement Benefit shall be eligible to receive a Supplemental Surviving Spouse Benefit.

  • No Participant who is a Key Employee shall accrue any further Supplemental Retirement Benefit or Supplemental Surviving Spouse Benefit on or after October 1, 2001.

  • If the Member dies prior to termination of employment, the Supplemental Surviving Spouse Benefit, if any, shall be paid in a lump sum distribution.

  • The Supplemental Surviving Spouse Benefit shall be paid to the Surviving Spouse within 45 days of the Participant’s death.

  • If the actuarial value of any Supplemental Retirement Benefit or Supplemental Surviving Spouse Benefit is $5,000 or less, the Company may pay the actuarial value of such Benefit to the Participant or Surviving Spouse in a single lump sum in lieu of any further Benefit payments hereunder.


More Definitions of Supplemental Surviving Spouse Benefit

Supplemental Surviving Spouse Benefit means the survivor death benefit payable to a Participant's surviving spouse, pursuant to the provisions of Article 7.

Related to Supplemental Surviving Spouse Benefit

  • Supplemental Retirement Benefit means the benefit determined under Article V of this Plan.

  • Surviving Spouse means the widow or widower, as the case may be, of a Deceased Participant or a Deceased Beneficiary (as applicable).

  • Death Benefit means the insurance amount payable under the Certificate at death of the Insured, subject to all Certificate provisions dealing with changes in the amount of insurance and reductions or termination for age or retirement. It does not include any amount that is only payable in the event of Accidental Death.
