Refuses definition

Refuses means a client or applicant actively declines enrollment in the insurance identified by the Authority.
Refuses means the intentional cessation by Vendor, in breach of this Agreement, of the performance of all or a substantial portion of the Services then required to be provided by Vendor under this Agreement.
Refuses means the option of the Authority to return or destroy Goods, which are provided by the Supplier in accordance with this Agreement and the Services Description, and are in all respects fit for purpose and meet the ordered requirement, for reasons due to (without limitation): prisoner behaviour, prisoner unavailability, prisoner funds; and/or such other circumstances which are not known to the Authority at the time of ordering the Goods; and "Refuse" and "Refusal" shall be construed accordingly; Release on Temporary Licence (ROTL)" enables participation in activities outside of the prison establishment, directly contributing to community resettlement and development of a purposeful, law-abiding life. There is no entitlement to ROTL. It is discretionary and only allowed following a robust risk assessment. There are four types of ROTL: Resettlement day release for activities linked to sentence plans, for example, paid and unpaid work, training or education, maintaining family ties. Resettlement overnight release allows prisoners to spend time at their release address. This is to re-establish links with family and local community. Release is for a maximum of four nights. Childcare resettlement licence for prisoners who are sole carers for children. Helps maintain the parent/child relationship and prepare for parental duties. Release is for a maximum of three days. Special purpose licence allows prisoners to respond to exceptional, personal circumstances. For example, for medical treatment and other criminal justice needs. Release is usually for a few hours;

Examples of Refuses in a sentence

  • If a Covered Employee Refuses to Submit to testing, then the City shall treat the refusal as a positive test, and shall take appropriate disciplinary action pursuant to the attached discipline matrix.

  • Refuses to accept, or commence, any remedial action(s) required under its obligation to PCI PED and/or DSS.

  • Client Agrees Client Refuses According to the ethics of our profession, topics may be anonymously and hypothetically shared with other coaching professionals for training, supervision, mentoring, evaluation, and for coach professional development and/or consultation purposes.

  • Refuses to submit immediately to an alcohol and/or drug test when requested by a supervisory or management employee or law enforcement personnel, or refuses to submit to a search of personal properties if requested by law enforcement and/or supervisory personnel.

  • Refuses to cooperate with the personnel at the alcohol and drug testing site.

  • Refuses to allow The Children’s Trust access to records or refuses to allow The Children’s Trust to monitor, evaluate and review Provider’s program, including required client data.

  • If the family Refuses to repay the debt, does not enter into a repayment agreement, or breaches a repayment agreement, the Authority will terminate the Lease in accordance with the termination provisions in this lease and pursue other modes of collection.

  • Good Cause shall be deemed to exist if Employee: [1] Willfully breaches or habitually neglects the duties that the Employee is required to perform under the terms of this Agreement; [2] Willfully violates reasonable and substantial rules governing employee performance; [3] Refuses to obey reasonable orders in a manner that amounts to insubordination; or [4] Commits clearly dishonest acts toward Silverleaf.
