Public pension plan member definition

Public pension plan member means a person who is a participant covered by a public pension plan; a former participant of a public pension plan who has sufficient service to be entitled to receive a future retirement annuity or service pension; a recipient of a retirement annuity, service pension, or disability benefit from a public pension plan; or a former participant of a public pension plan who has member or employee contributions to the person's credit in the public pension plan.

  • Plan Member means each Member any of the assets of which are subject to any Plan Governing Law.

  • Parent Benefit Plan means any Employee Benefit Plan maintained by, sponsored by or contributed to by, or obligated to be contributed to by any Parent Group Entity.

  • Multiemployer Pension Plan means a multiemployer plan, as defined in Section 4001(a)(3) of ERISA, to which Borrower or any member of the Controlled Group may have any liability.

  • Member contributions means all amounts paid to ASRS by a member.

  • Employee Member means a member of the “Bargaining Unit”.

  • Canadian Benefit Plan means any plan, fund, program or policy, whether oral or written, formal or informal, funded or unfunded, insured or uninsured, providing employee benefits, including medical, hospital care, dental, sickness, accident, disability, life insurance, pension, retirement or savings benefits, under which any Loan Party has any liability with respect to any of its employees or former employees employed in Canada, and includes any Canadian Pension Plan.

  • Non-U.S. Benefit Plan has the meaning set forth in Section 3.20(a).

  • Public member means an individual who is not, and never

  • Contributing Employer means any employer other than a reimbursing employer or rated governmental employer.

  • Disability benefit recipient means a member who is receiving a disability benefit.

  • Plan Benefit means the benefit payable to a Participant as calculated in Article V.

  • lay member means a member of the Authority, who is not, nor has been:

  • Public benefit means making capital available, or facilitating the availability of capital, to businesses in this state that have 750 or fewer employees, the intent of which is to create or retain employment opportunities for residents of this state, stabilize or increase the tax base of this state, or support the redevelopment of facilities for use by small businesses.

  • state pension credit means state pension credit under the State Pension Credit Act 2002;

  • Retired member means any former member receiving a retirement allowance or any former member who has filed the necessary documents for retirement benefits and is no longer contributing to the retirement system;

  • Foreign Benefit Law means any applicable statute, law, ordinance, code, rule, regulation, order or decree of any foreign nation or any province, state, territory, protectorate or other political subdivision thereof regulating, relating to, or imposing liability or standards of conduct concerning, any Employee Benefit Plan.

  • Non-Elective Contribution means the Employer contributions to the Plan excluding, however, contributions made pursuant to the Participant's deferral election provided for in Section 4.2 and any Qualified Non-Elective Contribution used in the "Actual Deferral Percentage" tests.

  • qualifying age for state pension credit means (in accordance with section 1(2)(b) and (6) of the State Pension Credit Act 2002)—

  • Elective Contribution means the Employer's contributions to the Plan of Deferred Compensation excluding any such amounts distributed as excess "annual additions" pursuant to Section 4.10(a). In addition, any Employer Qualified Non-Elective Contribution made pursuant to Section 4.6 shall be considered an Elective Contribution for purposes of the Plan. Any such contributions deemed to be Elective Contributions shall be subject to the requirements of Sections 4.2(b) and 4.2(c) and shall further be required to satisfy the discrimination requirements of Regulation 1.401(k)-1(b)(5), the provisions of which are specifically incorporated herein by reference.

  • Foreign Benefit Plan means any Employee Benefit Plan established, maintained or contributed to outside of the United States of America or which covers any employee working or residing outside of the United States.

  • Canadian Defined Benefit Pension Plan means a Canadian Pension Plan that contains or has ever contained a “defined benefit provision” as such term is defined in Section 147.1(1) of the Income Tax Act (Canada).
