Notification level definition

Notification level or “NL” means the concentration of a contaminant established by the Department pursuant to section 116455 of the Health and Safety Code.
Notification level means the concentration level of a contaminant in drinking water delivered for human consumption that DHS has determined, based on available specific information, does not pose a significant health risk but warrants notification pursuant to applicable law.
