Mistaken Internet Payment definition

Mistaken Internet Payment means a payment by a user through a ‘Pay Anyoneinternet banking facility and processed by an ADI through direct entry where funds are paid into the account of an unintended recipient because the user enters or selects a Bank/State/Branch (BSB) number and/or identifier that does not belong to the named and/or intended recipient as a result of:
Mistaken Internet Payment means a payment made by a user through Pay Anyone where:
Mistaken Internet Payment means a Pay Anyone Payment where the funds are paid into the account of an unintended recipient because a BSB, accountnumber and/or other identifier that does not belong to the intended recipient was entered as a result of:• you or an Authorised User’s error, or• you or an Authorised User being advised of the wrong BSB, account number and/or other identifier.

  • If we are not satisfied that a Mistaken Internet Payment has occurred, we will not take further action and you will be liable for the loss arising from the payment.

  • If the receiving ADI is not satisfied that a Mistaken Internet Payment has occurred, it may (but it is not obliged to) seek the consent of the recipient to enable the return of funds to us.

  • You will be notified in writing, within 30 Business Days of receipt of the report of a Mistaken Internet Payment from your Cash Account, of the outcome of our investigation.

  • We will need to collect information from you or an Authorised User that will allow us to investigate and determine whether a Mistaken Internet Payment has occurred.

  • If we are satisfied that a Mistaken Internet Payment has occurred, we will send a request for the return of the funds to the ADI whose customer received the payment (known as the receiving ADI).

Mistaken Internet Payment means a payment using a ‘pay anyoneInternet Banking facility (for example, an external Funds Transfer) processed by an ADI through direct entry where funds are paid into the account of an Unintended Recipient because the transferor entered or selected a BSB number and/or Identifier that does not belong to the named and/ or intended recipient as a result of:
