This benefit will be payable the first of the month following the month of death.• Married Participant – If you have at least five years of Future Service and you have earned one hour of work after August 22, 1984, and you die prior to reaching age 55 and you have an eligible spouse at the time of your death, your benefit will automatically be paid in the form of a Joint & Survivor Benefit.
However, a Married Participant shall change his Beneficiary designation only in accordance with Section 9.02.
In the event the Participant elects to receive all or a part of the Basic Plan benefit as a single life annuity or as a lump sum, the additional benefit calculated in this Section 3.7 will not be based on the portion of the Basic Plan benefit that is paid in a form other than the Joint and Survivor Annuity for Married Participant.
All such withdrawals will be made in accordance with Section 11.7. Notwithstanding the foregoing, a Married Participant shall not withdraw any amount of Employer Contributions without obtaining the written, notarized consent of his Spouse within the 90 day period ending on the date the withdrawal is made.
