Mainland China definition

Mainland China means the People's Republic of China but excluding Hong Kong and Macau;
Mainland China means the People’s Republic of China (excluding Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan).
Mainland China means the People’s Republic of China and, except where the context requires or admits otherwise, and only for the purpose of this Prospectus, references in this Prospectus to the PRC or China do not include Hong Kong, Macau or Taiwan.

  • A lower withholding tax rate may be applied if there is a tax treaty between Mainland China and the jurisdiction of the foreign investors.

  • The employees of the Group’s subsidiaries which operate in Mainland China are required to participate in a central pension scheme operated by the local municipal government.
