Grants definition

Grants means subsidies, aid, or payments to local governments, to community and quasi-public agencies for providing local services, and to persons who are not wards of the State for services or supplies and means cash or other direct assistance, including pension contributions.
Grants means monies provided by the state to or on behalf of individuals or entities to underwrite specific costs of services or programs. Although grants may be distributed for specific purposes, payment is not based upon supply of specific units of service or products.
Grants or “Granting” shall include to grant, assign, pledge, transfer, convey, set over and dispose.

  • Grants of the Annual Performance-Based Awards will be made in January of each year during the Employment Period, provided the first award will be made promptly following the Execution Date, and will have performance-based vesting hurdles and other terms determined by the Compensation Committee consistent with the foregoing and the terms set forth on Exhibit B hereto.
