Four Year Trained definition

Four Year Trained in relation to a teacher means a teacher whose teaching qualifications include a degree of a recognised university or college which requires a minimum of three years full-time study, and has in addition, completed one year's teacher training at a university or college of advanced education approved by the Director or has completed such other course or courses and/or has vocational experience which the Director may, from time to time, deem to be equivalent.

Examples of Four Year Trained in a sentence

  • Where a Three Year Trained Teacher completes a course of training as set out in the definition of "Four Year Trained Teacher" in clause 3, Dictionary, the teacher shall be transferred to the salary step on the higher salary scale determined by the teacher’s years of service on the scale.

  • For the avoidance of doubt, this subclause does not apply to a teacher who would qualify as Four Year Trained Teacher after the completion of the course.

  • A Three Year Trained Teacher who qualifies as Four Year Trained and who wishes to be recognised as such for the purposes of this Agreement may in writing to the Preschool to be recognised as a Four Year Trained Teacher.

  • Where an employee paid in accordance with Clause 3(a)(i) completes a course of training as set out in the definition "Four Year Trained Teacher" he or she shall be transferred to the scale in Clause 3(a)(ii) at the step which shall be determined by the teacher's years of service on the scale in Clause 3(a)(i).

  • Where a teacher is recognised as a Four Year Trained Teacher pursuant to this subclause, all previous service which was recognised when the Teacher was a Three Year Trained Teacher will be deemed to count as service as a Four Year Trained Teacher.
