Federal definition

Federal. Aid Contract” is any contract between the Texas Department of Transportation and a Provider which is paid for in whole or in part with U. S. Department of Transportation (DOT) financial assistance.
Federal means belonging to or pertaining to the Federal government of the United States.
Federal means the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System of the United States of America or any successor thereof.

Federal means with respect to any executive, legislative or judicial branch of government or other agency or organ of government, a branch or other agency or organ of the government of the United States.
Federal shall refer to the U.S. Federal government. As used herein, (a) “or” shall mean “and/or” and (b) “including” or “include” shall mean “including without limitation.” It is the intention of the parties that every covenant, term, and provision of this Agreement shall be construed simply according to its fair meaning and not strictly for or against any party (notwithstanding any rule of law requiring an Agreement to be strictly construed against the drafting party), it being understood that the parties to this Agreement are sophisticated and have had adequate opportunity and means to retain counsel to represent their interests and to otherwise negotiate the provisions of this Agreement.
