External employment definition

External employment shall be defined as work, whether undertaken during or outside of the period of regular appointment for a third party, or on a consultancy basis, for which the faculty member receives compensation or other consideration and that involves the use of his or her professional expertise as a faculty member. There shall be no limit to the amount of compensation a faculty member may be paid by a third party from external employment.
