Receptor means any human, plant, animal, or structure which is, or has the potential to be, affected by the release or migration of contaminants. Any well constructed for the purpose of monitoring groundwater and contaminant concentrations shall not be considered a receptor.
Encrypted means the transformation of data into a form which results in a low probability of assigning meaning without the use of a protective process or key.
DNA means deoxyribonucleic acid.
Antibody means a molecule or a gene encoding such a molecule comprising or containing one or more immunoglobulin variable domains or parts of such domains or any existing or future fragments, variants, modifications or derivatives thereof.
Antigen means a substance recognized by the body as being foreign; it results in the production of specific antibodies directed against it.
Cell means a single encased electrochemical unit containing one positive and one negative electrode which exhibits a voltage differential across its two terminals.
Web spray adhesive means any aerosol adhesive that is not a mist spray or special purpose spray adhesive.
Encrypt means to encode Confidential Information into a format that can only be read by those possessing a “key”; a password, digital certificate or other mechanism available only to authorized users. Encryption must use a key length of at least 128 bits.

Encryption means methods of rendering personally identifiable information unusable, unreadable, or indecipherable to unauthorized persons through the use of a technology or methodology specified or permitted by the Secretary of the United States Department of Health and Human Services in guidance issued under 42 USC Section 17932(h)(2).
Image receptor means any device, such as a fluorescent screen or radiographic film, which transforms incident X-ray photons either into a visible image or into another form which can be made into a visible image by further transformations.
Modules means the Base Modules and Extended Modules.
Cyanoacrylate adhesive means any adhesive with a cyanoacrylate content of at least 95% by weight.
Filter means material placed in the useful beam to preferentially absorb selected radiations.
Electrostatic spray means a method of applying a spray coating in which opposite electric charges are applied to the substrate and the coating. The coating is attracted to the substrate by the electrostatic potential between them.
Subsystem means a functional grouping of items that combine to perform a major function within an end item, such as electrical power, attitude control, and propulsion.
Sensor means any measurement device that is not part of the vehicle itself but installed to determine parameters other than the concentration of gaseous and particle pollutants and the exhaust mass flow.
Laser means any device excepting a Class 1 device which can be made to produce or amplify electromagnetic radiation in the wave length range from 100 nanometres to 1 millimetre primarily by the process of controlled stimulated emission.
Cabinet radiography means industrial radiography conducted in an enclosure or cabinet so shielded that every location on the exterior meets the dose limits for individual members of the public as specified in 12VAC5-481-720.
Module means specific portion of the Application Software designated as such in the Documentation made available to the Customer under the Notification Form.
Cartridge means a pleated or surface-type filter component with fixed dimensions that is designed to remove suspended particles from water flowing through the filter.
Library means an organized collection of resources made accessible to the public for reference or borrowing supported with money derived from taxation.
Metadata means textual and other data associated with the Licensed Titles and/or Licensed Content that describes the creation, content, and context of each part of the Licensed Titles or Licensed Content, such as the name of the Publisher, the name of the copyright owner, subject matter, the date of publication, the location of the digital file, and in relation to Licensed Content, additionally the name of the contributing author (or authors) and other authors.
Kit means a set of components that are packaged together and intended to be used to perform a specific in vitro diagnostic examination, or a part thereof;
Optical means services related to the provision of glasses, contact lenses, tests and treatments carried out by a registered optometrist or ophthalmologist.
Vaccine means a specially prepared antigen which, upon administration to a person, will result in immunity and, specifically for the purposes of this rule, shall mean influenza and pneumococcal vaccines.
