Employment practices act means any actual or alleged:a. violation of any federal, state, provincial or local statutory law, common law or civil law prohibiting discrimination of any kind;b. harassment, including any type of sexual, workplace, religious, racial, sexual orientation, pregnancy, disability, age, or national origin-based harassment;c. an act that creates an abusive or hostile work environment, whether based on gender, religion, age, disability, race, national origin, pregnancy, marital status, sexual orientation or other legally protected status;d. wrongful discharge or termination, whether actual or constructive;e. wrongful failure or refusal to hire;f. failure or refusal to provide equal treatment or opportunities;g. defamation, libel, slander, disparagement or invasion of privacy;h. wrongful failure or refusal to promote, including wrongful failure to train, advance or grant bonuses or perquisites;

  • Employment Practices means any wrongful or unfair dismissal, denial of natural justice, defamation, misleading representation or advertising, unfair contracts, harassment or discrimination (sexual or otherwise) in respect of employment by the Insured.

  • Employment Practices Wrongful Act means any actual or alleged:

  • Foreign Corrupt Practices Act means the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act of the United States, 15 U.S.C. Sections 78a, 78m, 78dd-1, 78dd-2, 78dd-3, and 78ff, as amended, if applicable, or any similar law of the jurisdiction where the Property is located or where the Company or any of its Subsidiaries transacts business or any other jurisdiction, if applicable.

  • ISO-NE Practices means the ISO-NE practices and procedures for delivery and transmission of energy in effect from time to time and shall include, without limitation, applicable requirements of the NEPOOL Agreement, and any applicable successor practices and procedures.

  • Rail Safety Act means the Rail Safety Act 1998 (WA);

  • Occupational Safety and Health Law means any Legal Requirement designed to provide safe and healthful working conditions and to reduce occupational safety and health hazards, and any program, whether governmental or private (including those promulgated or sponsored by industry associations and insurance companies), designed to provide safe and healthful working conditions.

  • National Labor Relations Act means the National Labor Relations Act, as amended.

  • Equal Employment Opportunity For any federally assisted construction contract, as defined in 41 CFR 60-1.3, the contractor, subcontractor, subrecipient shall follow all of the requirements of the Equal Opportunity Clause as stated in 41 CFR 60-1.4.

  • Fair Labor Standards Act means the Fair Labor Standards Act, 29 U.S.C. §201 et seq.

  • Occupational Health and Safety Act means the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 1993 (Act No 85 of 1993);

  • Employment Regulations means the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 (SI 2006/246) as amended or replaced or any other Regulations implementing the Acquired Rights Directive;

  • PBR Act means the Plant Breeder’s Rights Xxx 0000 (Cth) as amended from time to time.

  • New Jersey Stormwater Best Management Practices (BMP) Manual or “BMP Manual” means the manual maintained by the Department providing, in part, design specifications, removal rates, calculation methods, and soil testing procedures approved by the Department as being capable of contributing to the achievement of the stormwater management standards specified in this chapter. The BMP Manual is periodically amended by the Department as necessary to provide design specifications on additional best management practices and new information on already included practices reflecting the best available current information regarding the particular practice and the Department’s determination as to the ability of that best management practice to contribute to compliance with the standards contained in this chapter. Alternative stormwater management measures, removal rates, or calculation methods may be utilized, subject to any limitations specified in this chapter, provided the design engineer demonstrates to the municipality, in accordance with Section IV.F. of this ordinance and N.J.A.C. 7:8-5.2(g), that the proposed measure and its design will contribute to achievement of the design and performance standards established by this chapter.

  • Best management practices (BMP) means schedules of activities, prohibitions of practices, maintenance procedures, and other management practices to prevent or reduce the pollution of waters of the United States. BMPs include treatment requirements, operation procedures, and practices to control plant site runoff, spillage or leaks, sludge or waste disposal, or drainage from raw material storage.

  • Family and Medical Leave means a leave of absence for the birth, adoption or foster care of a child, or for the care of your child, spouse or parent or for your own serious health condition as those terms are defined by the Federal Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 (FMLA) and any amendments, or by applicable state law.

  • Equal Credit Opportunity Act means the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, as amended.

  • Home Mortgage Disclosure Act means Home Mortgage Disclosure Act of 1975, as amended.

  • Best Management Practices (BMPs means schedules of activities, prohibitions of practices, maintenance procedures, and other management practices to prevent or reduce the pollution of waters of the state.   • Data Protection Act means Act CXII of 2011 on Informational Self-Determination and Freedom of Information.

  • Corrupt practices means the offering, giving, receiving or soliciting of anything of value to influence the action of a Government official in procurement process or in contract execution: and

  • Fraudulent practices which means any act or omission, including a misrepresentation, that knowingly or recklessly misleads, or attempts to mislead, a party to obtain a financial or other benefit or to avoid an obligation; and
